With the official formation of the Northern Rivers Hemp Association we are now able to accept new members.
Membership fees are currently set per year at $20 for email corrispondance and $30 for surface mail.

Today saw the inaugural meeting of a preliminary Northern NSW Hemp Association. Click Here for minutes and notes from this meeting.
Recent State legislation is forming the legal framework for the formation of an Industrial Hemp industry. This state legislation comes after other states. Notably Queensland and WA - which both now have emerging industries.
My role is to help establish a sustainable regional industry in the North Coast of NSW. I will do this by leveraging the internet and it’s vast ability to network.
There is a current need to connect people - this is the forming stage of group development.
This website hopes to assist in the forming of these initial connections by providing a central hub.
I hope to document the process so it can serve as a model for a pattern of emerging bioregional industries ( specifically primary food, fibre and fuel). This project is designed to fit the criteria for some of the modules of the Accreted Diploma Program for Permaculture.
It is important to note that the “North Coast Hemp Cooperative” is an interim name for the proposed organisation, and it is not a legal entity as such. Thus a priority of the first meeting was to identify potential structures that may be suitable. The outcome of this was unanimous agreement to begin the process to form an Incorporated Association.
